2ndry hard drive(Maxtor 6Y080L0) not seen in my comp. seen in dev

I had a previous problem with my primary(Maxtor 6Y080L0) hard drive so I used
my 2ndry(Fireball) and made it my primary Therefore, right now my 2ndry is
what used to be the primary before. Anyways I wiped everything out my
2ndry(Fireball) and installed Windows XP. It was successfull, I can see my
primary(Fireball)and my 2ndry(Maxtor 6Y080L0) under device manager.. IDE hard
drives but when I go to my windows explorer, I do not see my 2ndry (Maxtor
6Y080L0) hard drive..Can anyone tell me how can I get my system to my 2ndry
hard drive under my computer or my windows explorer?.......Also 2ndry hard
drive(Maxtor 6Y080L0) has not been formatted or cleaned in any way because I
have data there that I want to recuperate...I was hoping that by using my ex
2ndry hard drive (Fireball) as a primary and connecting back my ex primary
hard drive(Maxtor 6Y080L0) as a secondary, I would be able to see all the
data in the drive then obviously I would be able to recuperate anything I
need.

Wow namnair, what first class help you offered there.

Anyways, right click on My Computer, click Manage, click Disk Management
and assign a letter to your 2ndry Hard Drive or import it (whichever
is necessary).
