2003 upgrade - MSDTC error 53258 - Could not process a promotion / demotion event

I recently installed a new 2003 dc into our existing 2000 AD forest
root test lab. I transfered the DNM and PDC emulator roles to it.
All seemed ok. Then I installed a new 2003 dc into the child domain,
and transfered the PDC emulator role to it. Again, all seemed ok.

The only error I am seeing is a warning in eventviewer after every
reboot of the root domain 2003 dc. The application log shows two
errors, both event id 53258. The first one says:

MS DTC could not correctly process a DC Promotion/Demotion event. MS
DTC will continue to function and will use the existing security
settings. Error Specifics:
d:\nt\com\complus\dtc\dtc\adme\uiname.cpp:8751, CmdLine:
C:\WINDOWS\system32\msdtc.exe, Pid: 1336
No Callstack (0)

And the 2nd one says:

MS DTC could not correctly process a DC Promotion/Demotion event. MS
DTC will continue to function and will use the existing security
settings. Error Specifics: %1

There is then a 3rd message to state that MSDTC has started ok. AD
replication etc is functioning correctly, and there doesn't seem to be
any other related errors (especially none in Directory Service log).
Fsmo role holders can be moved no problem etc. Should I be worried
about this event? I did read this could be logged if DFS was
disabled, but it is enabled on our DC's. Apart from one Google
thread, I can't find anything about this error.
