2003 - Headers and Footers

How can I set the default view to automatically show Headers and Footers
(greyed out). On most of the PCs here, that seems normal, but not on one of
my colleague's. Yet I can't find the setting to change it.

If you mean that the headers & footers which display on most systems don't
display on the other this is the most likely reason:
