Hello,

I downloaded the Access 2003 conversion toolkit to convert an Access 97 db
to 2003. It runs and I found out how to see the db statistics, but it gives
me the error that not all data was imported. But I cannot see how to find
out what the problem is. I am not familiar with the db I need to convert,
but it's very big - 710 MB. I'm wondering if I make a copy and delete most
of the records and make it smaller, if that would help, but I don't have
immediate access to a pc with Access 97 on it in order to do so.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I've searched online for any help on the
conversion toolkit, but can't find anything.

Also, I try to open the documentation for the toolkit, but it says I need
shockwave, I downloaded it to be sure (I believe I had it), but I think I
just have too new a version for the documentation to recognize. It looks
like I might be able to just open each page by looking at the folders in
Explorer.

My pc has Vista (which I do not like but am stuck with it) - would that be a
problem? Office 2003 is the oldest version which will work with Vista,
Microsoft says.

Thank-you very much for any help!

Thanks for your reply, Chris. Someone else had tried converting it, and
there were reports that had fields that show errors in the converted version.
So I thought using the toolkit would save me time to tell me what the
problems were. Also, it's been a few years since I used Access.

Thanks for your help, I'll try making a db without any data in the tables as
you suggest.
