I found this thread
http://groups.google.com/group/micr...2619f3ea20?q=end+time&rnum=3#0dfe2b2619f3ea20
but I'm still not having any success with what I want.

The default when setting an appt is that the appt will be 1/2 hour. In
most cases, I'd just as soon have it be zero minutes, so I have to
change the end time. In the thread cited Nikki said "Outlook will start
to offer that. It takes a few uses to work." However, I've not found
that to be the case. One can change the default Reminder, surely there
is a place to set the default length of the appointments. How do I do
this?

outlook uses the day planner's time scale - minimum is 6 min. If you create
appointments in the month view AFAIK they will always be 30 min, rather than
the time scale setting.

Thank you. I don't like the answer, but can't blame the messenger. Is
there any place in particular that I should go to put in an enhancement
request?

Hi Kathryn,
See if this will help you:
To creat your appt, while in Day/week/month view, drag your mouse over the
times you need to block for the meeting. Now choose New from the menu (or the
button). The start and end time should correspond with your highlighted
section.
Does this help?

And one more tip: If you right mouse click in the time bar area of your
calendar, you can change the increments to 5, 10, 15 min or greater. This
will now be your new default meeting lenght

Not really as it still doesn't allow for zero minutes which is what I
want as my default. I use my calendar in lieu of tasks as I want them
to show up on the calendar. I always have the 7day view showing. It's
just a quirk, wanting zero minutes, so I can live with making the
change manually. But I still want to ask for an enhancemet to allow for
a default of whatever number of minutes a person wants, including zero.
