2000 Pro initial setup

I've done a clean install of 2K Pro. When I boot it up Windows begins to go through the device detection/installation setup process as it's supposed to. When the blue progress bar is about a third of the way filled the screen goes dark, the hard drive busy light continues to flicker, and all keys are unresponsive. This is a system with a Pentium 2, 64MB Ram, 6.2GB HD. Can anyone tell me why this is happening?

My initial impression is that you need to be patient. That box is on the
low end of acceptable hardware and is going to be painfully slow. If
after an hour it goes catatonic it may be that you negelected to provide
a driver for some hardware in the box.
