2000 files cannot make MDE, how to protect my file???

Then, as you suggested, distribute only the .MDE version.

Martin,

If A2002 behaves the same as A2003, which I have - and I suspect it
does, then you can only make an .mde out of a 2002 format .mdb. To make
an .mde out of a 2000 format .mdb, you need to take the .mdb to an
Access 2000 machine and do it there.
It's frustrating, I have a mixed environment and face the same issue,
but I'm afraid that's the way it is!
