Hi

Can a Win 2000 Server be a domain controler in a 2003 AD forest ? Is there
anything to be before my 2000 Server can join the 2003 forest.

And the opposite: is it possible that a 2003 be a domain controler in an
existing 2000 forest ?

Thanks for your help !

Alex

The answer is both yes, If the Functional Level not are raised to Windows
Server 2003 Native.

There is nothing you need to do to add an additional Windows2000 Domain
Controller to an existing Windows Server 2003 Domain.

If you want to add the first Windows Server 2003 to your exiting Windows
2000 Forest, You have to upgrade the schema to support Windows Server 2003
Domain Controllers.

Which is done by using forestprep on the 2000 Server right ?

adprep /forestprep
adprep /domainprep

A one of the existing Windows 2000 Domain Controllers yes,
