2000 client cannot join 2000 domain

Has anyone run into this problem??? Trying to join
domain, get through most of wizard, but hangs at point of
adding computer account to domain: when putting in user
account with permission to add computer account, get
error: network path cannot be found.
 
Uh, wizard? You should only get a prompt for username/password. It must be
a domain account with permissions to add computers to the domain (ie: domain
admin account)
Also, make sure the pc can ping a domain controller

In Windows XP there is a Wizard that runs, unlike W2K, it depends on
which option you choose when joining. In anycase, it sounds like you are
having and DNS issue. Please make sure you W2K DC has all the SRV records
registered and that the client is configured to user the DNS server that
hosts the Domain SRV records.
