When I open up ANY page in
IE, it opens right up - BUT it takes 20 seconds (exactly
every time) for me to be able to click on anything -
scroll, click a link, type into a box - anything. It
happens on every page, every time. It's been like this
for two days. I was away on vacation (the computer was
off) and when I turned it back on this was happening. I
ran SpyBot, Ad-Aware, and Trend Micro Internet Security.
I've tried "restart" twice and tried turing off the
computer for several minutes and turning it back on.
Nothing works. HELP!!
..

First eliminate any scumware.
See

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each needs to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded. There's also a lot more to do than just those two programs.

If trying everything at that site does not fix the problem please post back
in the same thread.

I just started seeing the same thing a few days ago, but in my case it only happens occasionally. I've seen some other posts regarding this problem, suggesting the Spysweeper is successful in eliminating it, but Ad-aware and Spybot S&D were not. I have not yet tried it though
