2 XPs on 1 Comp?

Just wondering, but why the heck do I have two Window XPs on my comp. When I satrt up my comp it tells me to pick from Windows XP Home Edition or Windows XP Home Edition! I have re-installed this, and same happened. How can I make the one I don't use, disappear? Or can I make it auto log on to the first one (This is the one I use) withought waiting for the 25 second auto start thingy (auto loads the selected one after 25 or 27 secs)

Hi,

When you reinstall to a new folder (which is what you did) then this is what
you get. To remove the unwanted entry, start/run "C:\boot.ini" (without the
quotes) and remove it from the [operating systems] section. Next time, do a
repair installation by running the installer (not the initial repair option)
and allowing it to detect the existing installation. It will offer to repair
it.
