Cap 'n' Crunch

here is what I have,
compaq presario sr1720nx
XP homeSP2, amd sempron3500+ ~2.0GHz cpu,
e-geforce 6200TC 128MB onboard, supporting 256
MB,
*2 x DDR-SDRAM PC3200 (200 MHz) - [DDR-400]*
*1 x DDR-SDRAM PC2700 (166 MHz) - [DDR-333]*

I added the pc2700 stick right after I got this machine, didn't seem to
have problems running xp. I just wanted to know if I could run into problems
if I were running games for example? what are the pros and cons of doing
this?
thanks for your response.

It is better to run with matched sticks, but if you get no problems, then
stay with what you have.. re. what you have installed, the two PC3200 sticks
will run at the same speed as the PC2700 stick.. while there is a
performance hit, it is nothing to worry about unduly as the difference would
only show under the most testing of circumstances..
