I recently came back from a vacation with one video tape
full and another with about 5 more minutes of video that
i want to edit on my computer. My computer does not have
a firewire card, but another computer in the house does,
and both are connected through our LAN. i copied the
video files over to the other computer (the full tape-
11.8gb, the small one 2.8gb, both in DV-AVI format), and
when i tried moving them to my computer through the lan,
i get a message saying that i do not have enough disk
space. the hard drive i was copying to has at least 40
gigs free, so there must be some other problem...im not
sure what though. if anyone knows how i can get it to my
computer, please let me know.
and my second problem...
i got the second tape's 5 minutes or so copied to my
computer sucessfully over the lan from the other
computer. I imported it into movie maker, and as soon as
i clicked the clip to play it back, movie maker stopped
responding. i tried opening other, smaller files and they
worked fine. i cant do anything with that one file though-
-maybe it's too big? that (and the other large one) are
DV-AVI format....if anyone has solutions to either or
both of my problems, or needs me to clarify anything, let
me know. thanks a lot.
