2 Monitors, same display

I have a Video card that has an S-Video connector on it. When I plug this
into my TV and the monitor at the same time. How can I get the exact same
view on both the TV and the monitor? I have used the Dual-View, but the view
on the TV is different from the monitor, and when I don't want the TV on,
stuff will just pop up on the TV and I can't see it.

Hello,
To get the exact same view on the tv and the monitor, right click on desktop
Properties > Settings tab > uncheck 'Extend my Windows desktop onto this
monitor'. This will now show the same thing on both the monitors. And if you
want to adjust the view on the TV then you can change the resolution to make
things fit more properly on the TV.

Hello,

Ok since the TV goes blank, you might want to use 3rd party software like
UltraMon. After you get ultramon you can set up mirroring (hopefully) so
that you can view the same thing on both the monitor and the TV at the same
time.

You can also try Maxivista if you want, either pretty much do the same
function.

When you uncheck the "extend my Windows desktop onto this monitor" it does
just that....it STOPS the display, as it is meant to.

To enable your tv as second display device, you have to check the "extend my
Windows desktop onto this monitor". I've been doing this for
a_very_long_time.

Your tv may be limited as to what resolution you can have it as as a second
deisplay. Mine goes to 1024x768.

Note, your taskbar and icons will remain on your pc monitor. Depending on
what graphics card you have and the software that comes with it, you may be
able to extend the taskbar onto the tv as well. Possibly this is the
DualView that you referred to? In any case, it is best to go back to single
display before turning the tv off.
