2 Bugs with2003 Outlook Today View

When launching and viewing outlook today folder, in the new 2003 version,
this will also launch the web toolbar and in the address box it will say
outlook:today. This did not happen with the 2000 version - is this supposed
to happen in the new version?

I can not save changes to the customize outlook today view. It was installed
as the "winter" scheme and if I change it to the "summer" scheme, it will
change to this but not be saved after selecting "save changes". It will
always go back to winter scheme as if it were a default the next time the
folder is opened.

1) yes. you can close it and it should stay closed though.
2) not sure if this also applies to Ol2003 or not... do you have that update
installed?

I think the update was installed when I was running outlook 2000, because it
was not possible to customize the outlook today view at all. I upgraded to
2003 and it will allow me access to the customize page, but will always
return to winter. I tried the procedure outlined at:
http://www.outlook-tips.net/howto/oltoday.htm - but this changed nothing.

Another issue: how do we get outlook 2003 to stop trying to send and receive
mail, while working offline? I have gone to tools - options - mail setup -
send receive and removed all of the offline options, so that the box reads
"online only", but the program still wants to check for mail when offline.
