17" LCD Question

I've got a Magview 17" LCD monitor. I am finding that it is not completely
crispy clear. It seems to have a slightly blurry section, from what I can
tell its in two spots of the screen. Can anyone offer any help or
suggestions as to what I can do to correct this?

Wipe your thumbprints off?

I'm half-serious, it could be (anything) on the screen itself, take a
strong light and shine it on the screen at a sharp angle to see if the
surface has anything on it.

I've the same problem - You probably have good eyes because most peoples
don't notice it )

I managed to have better results spelling with the clock / phase settings...
But you'll probably find that using the digital input is really better...

I don't understand what you mean by "I managed to have better results
spelling with the clock / phase settings...But you'll probably find that
using the digital input is really better...". What's it mean? Did it help?

Screen Resolution is 1152 x 864 - I've tried every other setting available
on the display properties box,
32 BPP - I don't know what this is,
75 Hertz - This is the max it'll go
Video Card is Radeon 9200 SE

The monitor is about 2 weeks old, so I'm covered by warranty. Thought it
might be something simple like the display settings, avoiding the hassles of
returning it to the manufacturer if possible but may be the only solution.

A better explanation of the problem would be... Think about newspapers or
any other printed media. If there's a slight misregistration of colours when
printed it looks abit blurry to read (similar to a drop shadow). That's what
it looks like.

But only it two small areas?
You might try rerouting the monitor cable, make sure it's plugged into the
vidcard good and try a different refresh rate.

Pardon my ignorance, but is the refresh rate the 'thing' measured in hertz?

There's only one connector for the cable on both the monitor and the PC
box... rerouting, no can do!

Yes, in WIndows it's in Display Properites.

True, but where the cable is routed is another story.

My two bits:
Fiddle with the "pixel clock" and "phase" adjustments in the monitor
control panel - they may not be called the same things exactly, but
they'll be similar. On my Kogi monitor they're very finickey
adjustments; a change of a single step causes some blurry areas to
appear.

Good Luck!
