16 bit windows subsystem error message

Every time i try to load new software i get the above
entitled message with the following details below;-

c:\windows\subsystem32\autoexec.nt. The system file is not
suitable for running ms-dos and microsoft windows
applications. Chose 'close' to terminate the application.

can anyone help as i cannot load any new software via cd-
rom or floppy.
