1394 Connection not visible...

For some reason, I only have two connections in my
Network Connections. They are under LAN or High-Speed
Internet and are my Wireless Network Connection (im on a
laptop and its a wireless PC card) and the Local Area
Connection.

However, the 1394 Connection is no where to be found! I
remember it used to be there, but I don't know how to get
it back or what I did to remove it. I believe I need this
to enabled ICS on my connections, which is my main goal
(I want to port a connection through the ethernet port to
an xbox). Can anyone help? Thanks

Depending on what machine you have, just reboot the machine and while the
screen is still black and before xp logo, start pecking the del key. It may
not be the del key, so whatch your screen during boot up and it will tell
you something like hit f10 to run setup or hit f2 for set up. It will also
tell you in the mother board manual.

I checked the device manager and its enabled in there.
But for some reason I can't see it in the network
connections. So there has to be another reason. I
actually USED to be able to see it, but I did something a
while back and its not there. I even tried reinstalling
it, no go though.

Also, I cannot access the Network Setup Wizard. It just
doesn't load

Delete it out of the device manager reboot and let windows put in a fresh
copy. See what that does.

I did this. It auto reinstalled it but it still does not
appear in the net connections. But what I wan't to know
is why I cannot even access the Network Setup Wizard. It
attemps to load.. but nothing

Are there any other adapters that appears in device manager but not the
connections folder? If so you should try reinstalling them.

No. There are three listed in the device manager. The
wireless connection, local area connection, and the 1394
connection. only the first two appear. I've also scanned
for virsus but theres nothing!
