what this folder is for. thank you

the operating system.

Hi RobLee,

This is the folder that Windows XP stores it's setup files. This saves
from inserting the CD when a setup files is needed.

If you update the OS with a Service Pack, you also need to slip-stream the i386 folder with
that Service Pack.

In the Registry...

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Setup

should point to the location of the i386 folder.

So if the folder is; c:\i386
SourcePath = c:\
