1058 Sound Decompression

When I try to load the childrens CD's I got with my PC, I am getting
message which reads:

"1058: The sound decompression software has not been installe
properly, please run setup and try again".

I have XP on my PC.

I have tried many times, but it doesn't work, yesterday the cd worke
OK.

For older software on CD, try the Program Compatibilty Wizard:
Start > All Programs > Accessories > Program Compatibility Wizard

You did not mention the name(s) of the program(s) on the CDs, maybe look
here:

[1058] Sound Decompression Software not installed properly. Applicable to
Windows XP only (including Service Pack 2).
