100% Table Width

S

Sitara Lal

Using FP2002, when I set the width of a table (either nested or standalone)
to 100% and view the results on an IE6 browser (not on the same PC where the
web was created) with 800x600 resolution, I find that the table contents
scroll way off the right hand edge of the browser window.

I was under the impression that with width set at 100%, the browser in the
client PC would resize the contents so that nothing scrolls beyond the right
margin: Is that not correct? If not, how does one ensure that contents stay
within the screen width of the client PC?

Thanks

Make sure you have not images in the table that are wider than 750 pixels
and have no <pre> tags in your text, otherwise provide a URL to a page with
this issue.

What is a <pre> tag?

Hmmm... is that something you could put in by accident? By important text
from another program for instance? I've seen several corrections to folks
about this, and it seems to me that the people who had <pre> tags weren't
savvy enough to know how to do this on purpose.

Tag. You're IT.
