1 file per collection

Newby question - I have a few directories with avi files in them that I'm
trying to import into MM. I click import, go to a directory, select mutiple
files. When it does the import it creates a new collection for each file and
I cannot put more than one file in there. This is stopping me from using the
automovie feature which looks kind a cool. Any resolutions??

Hello,

Right Click the file name in the collection and select COPY...go to the
collection you want to put it in and right click the white space inside the
collection and select PASTE.

Delete the other collection including what they contain as required.

you can drag and drop the clips from one collection folder to another after
they are imported... but yes, each video file goes automatically into a new
collection when imported.

Interesting design decision - So I have to do this for the 40 or so clips
that I have... nice.

Thanks guys, at least I know - been messing about for hours!!!

Some consider this an asset because they use the auto clip option so the
program imports into a collection and splits your clips for you into that
collection. I *would* agree if it was an option that could be turned on or
off for those of us that create clips manually instead of letting WMM do it
for us.
