1.5 Days Later - No luck with existing site

Thanks for prior responses, but nothing is working. I am trying to edit an
existing site. I think I have all of the files, but tried to import/publish
from the server to be sure. FTP error every time. I could begin working on
exiting file, but cannot open .fla file. Despair!
 
You need Flash or Swish to edit the .fla.

What kind of FTP error are you getting?

How are you trying to 'edit' the existing site?

Are you sure you got all the DW files down to your machine...did you follow Thomas's suggestion about putting all those files in one folder on your machine then Convert to Web?
