0x51 registry_error on several computers

Hi,

Since installing XPSP2 on our network, we've discovered that 4 out of 5 of
the main computer rooms suffer from aparrently random 0x51 REGISTRY_ERROR
stop errors. The only room which hasn't suffered such problems is the room
running FAT32. Can anyone explain this behaivour? Is it XPSP2 and NTFS
causing the problem, because 4 out of 5 rooms which have NTFS and SP2 seems a
bit high to be coincidental. Currently, we're cloning the machines from an
image, and even when we've done that, some of the machines have worked for a
few days, then died again. It's coming to the stage where we're thinking of
making new images that are FAT32.

It's been my experience that cloned/imaged XP machines often have file
system problems which if not corrected early on seem to mushroom into
bigger problems, so it is becoming my practice to run a chkdsk /f on
them before doing anything else. Why it happens I couldn't say.
