07 linked table manager grayed out

Things to check
Is file trusted or in trusted location
Did it have security before moving
Do you have write access to the file
Is it an older version datafile
 
It's gray and making me more gray.

2007 Linked table manager is gray.(this from right mousing on the tables).

90 % of the ribbon in database tools is gray.


It all worked fine in 2003
 
Are you in the frontend or the backend? If in the backend, it will be
grayed out as there is nothing to link.
