0 infront of a number field

Is there a way to keep the 0 infront of a number field if something is
entered in a text box. Such as 0334. But it is saving now as 334. I want
it to save as 0334.

If you want the zero, then it is not a number, it is text.

In numbers (basic math) three hundred and thirty-four is 334. You don't ask
for zero and three hundred dollars.
