0 byte file on dektop

i have called dell about my server having a o byte file on
the dektop. each time you delete it it will show back up.
Dell could not understand what it is and had me just to
hide the file. My server is free of viruses and spyware.
Does anyone have a clue.

What is name of that file? It might be that you have a program (possible
autostartable), which has working (or temporary)directory defined to your
desktop folder. So any time that program needs a temporary file, it creates
it to your desktop.

You could get File Monitor from www.sysinternals.com. It shows monitors all
file operations and can propably tell which program creates that mysterious
file.
