ZoneAlarm blocks e-mail

I cannot connect to my pop3 mail server with ZoneAlarm
running, even though I have given Outlook net access in
ZoneAlert.

A ZoneAlert email troubleshooting tip says that
MAPISP32.exe must be given server permission as well, but
a search of my hard drive with Windows Explore doesn't
find such a file.

I am running Outlook 2002 in Office XP.

MAPISP32.exe doesn't exist in Outlook 2002 - it's functionality has been
incorporated into Outlook. Outlook needs more than Web access (port 80) to
connect to POP3 and SMTP servers. You'll need to open whatever ports your
ISP listens on, probably port 110 for POP3 and port 25 for SMTP.

Jeff,
This sounds like the information I am looking for. I will
check with my ISP on ports. Much thanks.
