Zone has expired?

I have some (not all) clients who take about 5-10 minutes
to log on. The error 6527 has only appeared when the wan
was down. I've gotten it twice whe it is up.AD is
replicating with no errors:
Event Type: Error
Event Source: DNS
Event Category: None
Event ID: 6527
Date: 5/19/2004
Time: 9:41:43 AM
User: N/A
Computer: "ProblemChild"
Description:
Zone _msdcs.MY.org expired before it could obtain a
successful zone transfer or update from a master server
acting as its source for the zone. The zone has been
shut down.

This box is also a DC and GC. I get the same error in
the "Zone _sites.MY.Org" There is communication
between "ProblemChild" and "ParentServer"
Any ideas?

Are all these DNS Win2k3?
If they are you can use zone stored in Active Directory and replicated to
all DNS servers in the Forest.

Are all clients and server using the internal DNS only.

All clients use internal DNS servers that are W2K DC's and
active directory integrated.
This particular site is a child.

From you original post and the zones you were referring to I was under the
assumption you are using Win2k3.
The recommended method for resolving Win2k domains in a parent-child
relationship is to delegate the chiold name in the parent zone and forward
and use forwarding from the child to the parent DNS. Do not forward from the
parent to the child.
