I have just upgraded from Windows98 to WindowsXP Home
Edition. Since my internet service is via a cable modem,
my computer has Zone Alarm installed on it. Up to this
point, Zone Alarm was very clear on what programs should
have access to the internet, etc. Since the upgrade, I am
getting a couple of new ZA queries on boot up:
Do you want Generic Host Process for Win32 Services to
access the Internet?
Do you want Generic Host Process for Win32 Services to act
as a server?
Do you want Messenger to access the Internet?
Do you want Messenger to act as a server?
I'm inclined to assume that these are all valid requests
of WindowsXP and that I should let Zone Alarm know it can
stop asking...but I thought I'd check with you folks to be
sure.
