zip search

Taneth,

Type "regsvr32 /u zipfldr" and start the search. After search is complete, run "regsvr32 zipfldr"
[Even better, you can use WinZip utility to handle Zip files]

I do use Winzip to handle zip files. why do I have to turn that back on after the search?

Every time I unregistered the dll, it associated zip files with it, and re-registered automatically, so it didn't work. So I took it one step further and deleted all traces of it. Now the computer has no choice but to run WinZip to open them, and I'm happy :
It all works fine now.
