Zip files in Windows Explorer

I very much like the way zip files are shown in Windows Explorer, with their
contents listed. This is a very nice innovation. It's all the more the pity
that with this addition an important feature was lost; an important feature,
by the way, possessed by every other file in Explorer. Why in the world is
the file size of zip files *not* shown??? I just cannot fathom the logic
behind this omission! Is there perhaps a fix available? A registry entry to
be modified or one added? Your help much appreciated. Regards, Gedeon

They *are* shown...

Look at the bottom of the left-hand panel, or right-click, properties to see
file size.

Thanks for your reply. You are partly right. File size is shown in
properties, but that requires a right click instead of just a glance at the
bottom of the page, *as it is with every other file type.* On the other
hand, on my computer, size of zip files *is not* shown at the bottom of
either left or right panel. Thanks again. Regards, Gedeon
