zero paging sizing virtual memory, can not increase

its set at 0, though I have tried to set as 384 current,
with 1024 max, but it won't take the change. I am new to
all this. What is paging size for? And how can I set it
higher? I have admin provs. But my changes do not take.
System keeps telling me it is making up for the 0 paging
size. can someone help. ty.
