If they're all numbers, try using a custom number format of
0000.

I am working with columns of 4 digit numbers. They are
usually consecutive numbers. I often have to change them
to 4 digit numbers with a leading "0" (zero). If I am only
changing one cell, and so long as I reformat the cell
to "text" format, all goes well. However, if I highlight a
group of cells and say I change the first number to a "0",
the "0" is dropped and only 3 digits remain in the cells.
Obviously, I need the first number displayed even if it is
a zero. I have tried everything I can find to make this
happen and cannot. Please, polease assist me.
Thanks, Gary

IF YOU PUT AN ASKTERICK BEFORE THE ZERO IT WILL REAMAIN IN THE NUMBER.
YOU CAN ALSO USE A FEATURE WHERE THE LEFT CORNER STAYS GREEN AND THE ZERO
WILL ALSO REMAIN THAT I THE FEATURE I AM TRYING TO FINE.
