Not!

Can anyone verify if the Zalman ZM-OP1 can be fitted as a normal
slimline 80x80 fan eg inside a PSU. (ie standard bolt holes etc)?

[If anyone is following this thread - tekheads postage is too much! So
I'm back to looking at the Zalman.]

Are you sure that it needs to be "slimline" (whatever your definition of
"slim" is)? I just replaced an 80mm fan in an ATX PSU with an old case
fan I had lying around - shedloads of room....just measured the old one
I took out and it's 25mm, which seems to be the standard thickness of
80mm fans.

And yes, the pitch of the screw holes is standard.

Thanks. It Definitely has to be <25mm! I didnt measure it at the time
but I eyeballed the existing fans to be about 16mm. From the gap in the
PSU I reckon I could get a 20mm in there. I tried to put in a 25. I had to
deform the PSU case, and snap off a lot of the fan housing to make way for
a circuit board. And when I did it all up, struggling to get the screws
back in, the fan wouldnt spin because one of the heatsinks was pressed
against it. I have about 3 25mm fans sitting around (well 2.5 now!), and
they certainly dont fit :)

Thanks for the Zalman info, but I've gone with the NMB-MAT fans now
(see 80x20 here http://www.dorothybradbury.co.uk/ )

PS. Could anyone tell how long before an unplugged PSU is safe :)
