14 Hr later
I am running XP pro and using Office Outlook with sp 3 installed.
I can receive ok but file being sent causes the errors. When outgoing e mail
is above 73Kb I get a time out message. This is what I have done.
Reloaded Outlook – Deleted and created new e mail account – Run Spybot and
Ad Aware SE – Deleted virus program - Reinstalled Virus program – Changed
time out setting in e mail profile – Edited the registry as advised by
Microsoft article. No stone was unturned. I was advised by a teck who fixes
the computers in Atlantic City to reload the whole system. He used
Microsoft’s $49. Technical service and told they couldn’t fix a sandwich and
that he ended up dumping and reloading the hard drive.

Any ideas???
Totally baffled

What version of Outlook are you using? Have you set your outgoing mail (SMTP
server) to use the same credentials as your incoming mail (POP3 server)?

I am running Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 with SP3. My outgoing server
requires authentication is checked along with use same as incoming.
Thank You Michael
