you morons broke excel 2002 with your April 11 patch

excel 2002 will not open any document. The open dialog hangs. It will not
save as a document that has been created from a new document.

It is actually caused by third party shell extensions which are not listed
with the windows structure. In most cases this can be improved by going to
the third party vendor site (e.g hp.com) and download the update to that
vendors software.
