You cannot eject your computer, etc. - Article 818332

I have a Dell Latitude D620 notebook in a docking station. When I try to use
the Windows command Start->Undock Computer I get the message "You cannot
eject your computer because one of the devices in the docking station
Communications Port (COM1) cannot be stopped right now. Try closing all
applications." I am running Windows XP Professional SP2.

Microsoft Knowledge Base Article 818322 states that SP2 should have fixed
this issue, but I get the message anyway. Closing all applications does not
fix the problem.

I can put the computer into standby and undock that way, but I am curious
about why I am getting the error.

Press CTRL-ALT-DEL and look at applications and processes.
You could have some wanted program, such as virus scanning
running, or you could have some spyware, hacker or virus.
