Yikes! - pst files won't open

Outlook's Personal Folders with my emails & contacts for the past two years
won't open suddenly after an automatic update from Microsoft. I can create
new .pst files, but cannot access all my previous. System Restore hasn't
helped. HELP! Any ideas? Thanks1

1. What you did just before "suddenly."
2. What you mean by "automatic update." None would cause this
3. Why you can't open the PST file. What are you doing and what happens when
you try?

If the system restore hasn't helped (by removing the Microsoft updates),
then it has probably nothing to do with these updates.

What I would try in your situation:
- backup the current PST file (but keep your old backups!)
- run scanpst against your PST file
- try again
- if still no good, you may have to revert to your previous PST backup

I will try your advice and let you know. Thank you for your help!
