YIKES!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CHART FONT PROBLEM

Arrghhhh...

I really need help with the following in what for me is a
HUGE spreadsheet involning MANY weeks of work...

I have run into the error described here:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;[LN%
5D;215573

i.e., I get a "no more fonts may be applied in this
workbook" error message.

However, even after reducing the number of times I copied
the worksheet, and its related charts, I can no longer
access the source data in my old charts.

What gives?

to expand on this...

when I attempt to access the chart control dialogue,
where I input source data, axis values, etc, excel now
crashes...

I just had this same error message (which is how I found this post).
Though I can't claim to have got to a perfect solution, I have bee
able to get around it. In my case, I wasn't able to print preview in
sheet with charts and lots of data (i.e. I could still access th
source data).

My solution was just to go into "Format", "Cells", and then in "Number
select "Custom". In the list of custom formats, go to the bottom
where any formats you have added will be. I just deleted a few o
these.

I know it doesn't make sense that the workbook couldn't cope with them
since I had only added a handful, and I have other sheets where I hav
added large numbers without a problem. Nevertheless, this allowed m
to use the spreadsheet without the error message coming up
