Yahoo news links don't work with IE, do work with Firefox

This problem also happens with some other sites: I click on the link in
IE, it starts to download, but stops and never complete, always leaving
a blank page. Then I go to Firefox, go to the same link, click it, and
it opens up normally. Maybe an hour later, if the link is still there,
it might work on IE.

I think the problem might by IE's pop-up blocker. Carefully watching
the bar at the bottom, it seems to try to load an ad, and then it just
stops. All the sites are legit, and I do open them later with Firefox
without any problem.

I've seen a list of restricted sites or ads in the configuration of IE
pop-up blocker. Should I try to erase the list of blocked sites? Is
this a bad idea?

Hi :)

If all the sites are legitimate sites, try holding down the Ctrl key when
you click on a link. This should allow the popup and see if it will load
the page.

3. Installing the latest Cumulative Patch for IE may solve the problem as a
side-effect. Check in at Windows Update.

4. Run a thorough check for hijackware.
