Yahoo Messenger question

For the life of me I cannot download yahoo messenger. Any ideas why not? I've
had people tell me that I cannot because my computer is a 32-bit and not a
64-bit. I've had people tell me to turn off my firewall, then download it.
I've been told to try the beta 9.0 version, and yet nothing works. It keeps
telling me that "Installation failed due to open windows" and the only open
window that I have down in the taskbar is my People PC one.

Please can anyone help me??????????

I am downloading the free download manager and then I will try the rest and
let you know. I always tell everyone that dolphins gives me peace and
tranquility---I just love them and have many items that have dolphins on them
or are figurines.
