Yahoo messanger giving problems with windows xp

Hi guys,

I am facing this problems 2nd time.Whenever i install yahoo messanger 8 in
my pc having Windows xp professional Version 2002 service pack 2,i get
following error

Microsoft visual c++ runtime library
Runtime Error
Prgram:c:\windows\explorer.exe
Abnormal Program Termination
ok

Please help how to sort this.

I don't think it's an error specifically with yahoo messenger as I have the
same setup and it works just fine, I think it may be within windows and or
possibly some malware infected your system, hard to say, I have also read in
this newsgroup, that others are having similar problems with xp and IE, not
yahoo messenger, so that tends to make me believe it's not yahoo
