I have been using yahoo as my home page for years with no problems, as of 2
days ago my yahoo home page will only open about half way and stop. i can not
access my yahoo mail or do anything with yahoo.

I can change my home page to msn, google or any other page and they open
fast with no problems, it is just the yahoo home page i am having trouble
with , my pc seems to be working fine.

Can anyone PLEASE help me?

1... First, try to clean up your caches, Internet files and delete cookies
by doing this:
Click Start >> Control Panel >> Double click Network and Internet
Connections >> Double click Internet Options.
On the IE properties windows you will see these Taps:
General | Security | Privacy | Content | Connections | Programs |
Advanced
Under General Tab clear your History, Internet Files and Cookies.
Then click on Advanced tab and scroll down to under the Browsing Option:
[&] Browsing
[ ] Enable Third-Party browser extensions (Req Rest) uncheck this box.
Then click on Programs Tab and click Manage Add-Ons and Disable all non
Verified Add-Ons (You should Renable them later one-by-one and see the
culprit and update it or remove it.

2... And also for malwares from here:
http://www.lavasoft.com/products/ad-aware_se_personal.php
http://www.safer-networking.org ; for Spybot S&D

Then Try this:
Open a Run Command and type in these DLL to reregister and see if that will
help:
regsvr32 Dssenh.dll
regsvr32 Rsaenh.dll
regsvr32 Gpkcsp.dll
regsvr32 Slbcsp.dll
regsvr32 Mssip32.dll
regsvr32 Cryptdlg.dll
regsvr32 Initpki.dll
regsvr32 Sccbase.dll
regsvr32 softpub.dll
regsvr32 Wintrust.dll
regsvr32 mshtml.dll
regsvr32 Jscript.dll

Update your Flash player as yahoo sometimes using a flash player in their
site.
Then run a disk Clean up and open the Run command and type in:
sfc /scannow click [OK] let it run, it may ask you to insert the XP CD so
be ready to hand it in.
HTH.

What does Yahoo have to say? Their number is: 1-877-722-DSL-5
(1-877-722-3755) for DSL accounts. If you have any other, I am sure
they could direct you.

did you tighten your web security settings recently?

I've always got problems when I lock down IE browsing websites
I just wish that the 'Enhanced Security Mode' that is available in Windows
Server 2003 was available for other operating systems
