You get access to Yahoo's POP3 and SMTP mail servers if:

- You pay them for their premium service.

- You use one of their domains, like Yahoo UK, that still provides free
access. The others require that you pay.

- Use YahooPOPs against the free Yahoo accounts that don't currently provide
access to their mail servers. YahooPOPs runs as a local HTTP-to-POP3
protocol converter proxy. You connect your POP3 client to YahooPOPs and
YahooPOPs connects to the HTTP interface for Yahoo Mail.
