Hi, all

I was woundering what I have to do do make my Embedded image boot from a
compact flash drive.
On my development systems is windows XP prof. This sees the compactflash
reader connected to the IDE connector as a D: drive 128Mb of size.
When I'm building my XPE image I'm writing it straight to the compact flash
drive.
I first formated the compact flash card booting up with bootable diskette en
chekt with FDISK if the compact flash was active. later on I did BootPREP on
the compact flash and then wrote the XPE image from Target designer to the
compact flash. Removed my C: drive and placed the compact flash with my c:

The only thing that happens is theire is some kind of Loader bar running
from left to right and then I get a blue screen. Saying Stop: 0x0000067B
(0xF9E48640) with lots of other numbers what went wrong? and does anyone
have any suggestions?

Best Regards,

The stop 7b error is a very common one, to do with it not being able to
properly read the boot volume. How is your flash device connected, and
did you run TAP.exe to get the right hardware list?

Flash deveice is connected as the only drive in the system. on the primary
IDE connector via a 40 Pins connector and a flat cable.
I ran the tap.exe from the developer XP prof. Then got an PMQ file wich I
imported in te Component database and continued to go to the component
designer.
Making an SLX out of it. Then I start target designer and added the
component wich I called "my deveices" Then I did a dependencie test checking
everythin is ok. Added the el torito cd component. en added the EWF
component. recheck dependencies and made the target file straight to my D
drive. Then disconnected the developer Hard Disk and positioned the 'flash
hard disk' on the primary connector booting my system from that deveice. En
thats when I get the error.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance,
