XP Word Properties

Kobus Louw

I create a XP-Word document, select Properties and add
details to the Summary Tab like Title, Category, Author
and save it. I close the document, then right click on
the document in Explorer and select Properties. Now I can
only see the General Tab and the Summary tab. When I
click on the Summary tab, all the values that I entered is
missing.

When I copy the file onto a machine that does not have XP
but Office 2000, and do the same, all I can see is the
General Tab, and sometimes the Security Tab. But no
Custom or Summary tab. Also it does not allow me to delete
the file. An error message comes up by saying that there
is a sharing violation.

Can anyone PLEASE help. Is this a bug? Is this a
securinty setting?

Thanks a lot.

Obviously, various versions of Windows provide varying access to Word's
document properties. Full access is available only in Word (File |
Properties).
