XP wont recognize Geforce2 GTS after card is put in

After formating an ntfs partition and reinstalling xp
pro, xp wont recognize my nvidia geforce 2 gts as a new
piece of hardware. In the display settings, default
monitor is the only thing present. Usually, the card
will be listed becuase xp recognized it and installed
drivers for it. After installing OEM, and nvidia's latest
drivers, the card is still not recognized. In fact,
nvidia's driver software is not even listed in the list
of new programs. In the device manager, display adapters
isnt even present. In the bios, an agp card is
recognized but nothing specific is said. I have taken
the card to a friends house, put it in and it was
recognized immidiately upon reboot as it should be. So
the card isnt damaged. The fact that i can see a display
isnt puzzling becuase the card is working to some extent,
it jsut isnt being recognized specifically. I have tried
every option and have no clue as to what is wrong or what
to try. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!EMAIL ME

If you have onboard graphics, did you remember to uninstall them AND disable
them in the BIOS before installing the new card?

What is listed under Display Adapters in Device Manager?

Display adapters doesnt even show up in the device manager if you can believe that. In the bios, it recognizes the agp card in there, and thats what the default video is in the bios is the agp slot.... sooo....
