XP won't boot

I just built a new computer, but took the hard drive with Windows XP
installed on it from the old computer and installed it in the new one.
Now, when I try to boot up, it sits at the Windos XP loading screen for
a minute or two, then reboots. I was told that this is a security
feature...so, is it? And is there any way to get past it?

This has nothing to do with a security feature. XP won't boot because the
hardware in your new machine is completely different than in your old
machine. You need to do - at the least - a Repair Install. If the Repair
Install doesn't work (it usually does) then you will need to do a Clean
Install.
