XP won't boot after sata controller ?

I tried with 4 different sata drives (2.5", and 3x3.5"), two of them
worked(XP booting worked with the disks turned on/plugged/connected
on)the very first time i plugged in the kouwell sata PCI card month
ago(the second two discs i bought later). There must be some
uncompatibility that came afterwards... all of this disks work, but only
when i hot-plugg them through windows...then the drives work, just the
controller isn't booting the XP when the disks are connected. When i
unplugg/disconnect disks(drives), one or both, the same thing. Then the
Windows XP boots !!! Wow...

The problem is that device is reading disks but won't boot XP! Xp boots
normal without sata disks on the sata controller(KW-571s)!

Ii tried different flashes and the drivers for it...

It's not a big deal because it works via xp as hot-plugging, but it
would be better to have it working as it should!

Thanks, mm

Hot plugging is usually only available on server boards with a SATA
controller mfg to do specifically that. One can/could run hds like that but
youre pc hardware will suffer...Either way, anytime a new hd gets connected
to a pc,by default the BIOS settings set the new hd(s)/RAID,as the 1st boot
device, youre current C: hd might end up as 3rd,hence, xp wont load.Plus,on
most pcs, when adding another controller, the BIOS needs to be reconfigured to
run current controller + add-in controller...
